$$-$$$ The Lobster Pot,
6 Bermudiana Road,
Hamilton, 441-292-898. For more than 30
years, since it first opened in 1973, the Lobster Pot has been
one of Bermuda’s most popular places to dine. It’s just a
short bus ride from downtown Hamilton. I recommend you
pay it a visit. Lobster is, of course, the specialty, and they
serve both the Maine and Caribbean (spiny) varieties. They
also serve a wide variety of fresh fish and shellfish, including
wahoo, tuna, rockfish, and hogfish, along with shrimp, mussels
and chowder (the best you’ll ever eat). The lobster dishes
are expensive, but lobster’s expensive everywhere nowadays, except for Maine and, even there
it’s not so cheap anymore. Anyway, for
an inexpensive treat, try a fishsandwich,
or some coconut shrimp, or some
Creole shrimp.
Take a number 1, 2, 10 or 11 bus and ask the driver to drop you off at the Lobster Pot. If you intend to make it a dinner outing, it would be a good idea to make a reservation.
The Lobster Pot is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 am, and for dinner daily from 5:30 pm until 11 pm.
